Our Range of Louvre Windows
Louvre windows consist of multiple blades of glass which can be opened and closed via a handle on the interior side of the window. These types of windows allow for maximum air flow and have been a popular choice in hot climates for this reason. They’re also a popular alternative to air-conditioning in eco-friendly designs.
Advantages
- Maximum air flow: Louvres allow pretty much the entire size of the window to be open, maximising air flow.
- Adjustable airflow: By angling the blades from fully closed to fully open or any angle in between allows for easy adjustment of airflow.
- Easy Cleaning: Since the blades can be tilted 90 degrees, it is easy to clean both sides of the glass. If you are on an upper floor, this is especially beneficial.
- Screens: Screens can be fitted to the exterior of the window easily.
Disadvantages
- Very expensive: One of the most expensive window types. Inefficient insulators: louvres aren’t the best in this regard. Even with the blades fully closed they allow more heat to penetrate or escape than other types of windows.
