  • What do you sell? +

We mainly focus on new and factory second aluminium windows and sliding doors. We also sell factory second timber entry doors, box steel and weldmesh. Various other material comes through on occasion (such as ply), but these aren't a stock product for us so it is not always available.

  • What is a factory second product? +

The definition of a factory second varies from product to product.

For windows and doors usually product becomes a factory second due to: Being incorrectly entered into the system (wrong size, colour, glass type etc). Builders going bust or not paying their bill (the manufacturer then goes out and reclaims the product from site, so there may be some minor marks from where they were fixed into place). Windows and doors do tend to pick-up minor marks, scratches and dings from handling and storage but there should be no major damage on the product which would prevent it from being operational.

For timber doors being incorrectly entered into the system (incorrect size, style, glass type or finish), damaged edges and damaged veneer can result in them becoming a downgrade (factory second) product.

For steel dings, white rust, visible seams and oversupply can force manufacturers and importers to sell off the steel as a downgrade (factory second) product.

For ply film damage (on form ply), out of square sheets, damaged edges, blowing (delaminating) of layers or oversupply can contribute to the ply becoming a downgrade (factory second) product.

  • Do you deliver? +

Yes, we can deliver locally for an additional cost (generally speaking we deliver to the Brisbane and Gold Coast metropolitan areas). We can also arrange for our suppliers to deliver direct from the factory and most of them can deliver a bit further out than us.

  • Do I need to be home to accept delivery? +

No, however it is recommended so you can direct our delivery staff on where to leave your product. Delivery is to the front boundary and ground floor however our staff are usually happy to be directed on where to leave your product (but this will be their call depending on accessibility and safety).

  • Are you cheaper than going direct to the manufacturer? +

In many cases yes, we are. We spend well over $1,000,000 per year with our main window supplier so we get very good pricing through them (which we can then pass on to you). Manufacturers do adjust their pricing depending on how busy the market is at the time. The less busy the market is the more competitive their prices become to the general public. The busier they are the higher their prices become (where as our pricing will stay at a stable rate year round).

  • Do you offer product warranty? +

All new windows and doors come with full manufacturers warranty (which can be provided on request). Factory second, second hand and steel products come without warranty.

  • Where is my glazing certificate? +

If you have purchased new windows and doors from us your glazing certificate will be in either one of two places. If it was a new stock product or was picked up or delivered from our yard your glazing certificate will be located on the glass of your product (in a little plastic document enclosed envelope). If your product was delivered direct from one of our suppliers we will attach your glazing certificate to your receipt which we will post out to you once we have confirmed that you have received your product. Please store your glazing certificate somewhere safe, it is very difficult to locate a glazing certificate months or years down the track.

  • Do I get a glazing certificate with factory second or second hand product? +

No. If you require a glazing certificate factory second and second hand product are not suitable for you. If you purchased a factory second or second hand product without knowing you required a glazing certificate you may have to get in touch with a glazier to come out to site, inspect the product and provide you with a certificate for it.
